Spring promise

I went to visit my Mother this morning. Fortunately, I had managed to get petrol so it made it a sensible  proposition. However, the  M3 and M25 were much quieter than usual for a Sunday and there were multiple warning signs saying  there was no fuel at any of the service stations, so many people must have stayed at home today. After lunch we visited a local  garden centre "to buy a few hyacinth bulbs". However, of course we egged eachother on and returned  with quite a collection  of  assorted bulbs and  bedding plants. As you can see from the photo we have a busy  couple or three hours ahead of us to plant them all! 
Much later, I discovered she has a nasty gash on her leg from an incident in the garden  last Friday (not just the "little graze" she had claimed) so I think we will be seeking an appointment  at the GP surgery, tomorrow....
Never a dull moment here....
