In the Beech Wood

On the west side of Lamberts Castle there is a large beech wood with many mature trees, including this one with some four trunks growing out of the same tree. It reaches a great height but it is now showing its age and branches are beginning to crack and fall off but it still has a presence in the wood.

This morning it was being lit by sunshine filtering through the branches. It didn't last though. Hope its OK where you are.
