What day is it?

Thanks to all who have left kind messages about our Covid dose. Much appreciated.

We are both ok but in a bit of a Covid daze. It feels much like having the flu, but with an added layer of apprehension.

I want to sleep all the time and Richard has totally lost all sense of taste and smell.  It's as if we are sharing out the symptoms between us :-).

So we are doing small things around the house: labelling the first batch of quince jelly, trying a new treacle  soda bread recipe. R has a brief online meeting early this evening & I have a short piece of Greek language homework to finish for tomorrow evening.

Ruth dropped a surprise food parcel into our porch this afternoon, on her way home from work. A bag of treats from our favourite local shop, along with some fresh fennel and some lavender seeds from High Riggs (the small farm where she works).  She rang me from the car, parked across the road, to tell me it was there. We waved and chatted, as I watched the rather wild winds battering the trees. Thankfully none of the rest of the family have shown any signs of infection so far.
