I wonder whether part of Johnson's modus operandi is not to worry about lying because by the time the lie becomes apparent, he'll have done something else to overshadow it.

Earlier this week, he told us the fuel crisis would be over by the weekend and everything would be back to normal.

And, of course, come the weekend, we're all too outraged by his comments yesterday* and today* to even worry about the lies of Johnson past.
