War memorial in flooded Radnor Gardens

Today we picked up the grandchildren from school and took them to the little playground in Radnor Gardens, Twickenham. It was so lovely and sunny today. The river often overflows into the gardens both at very high tides and like now after heavy rain the night before last. 
Interesting to see the poppy wreaths are still there from last year…not long to this years remembrance day. 
There is usually a very nice ceremony here on Remembrance  Day with local schools represented as well as the local British Legion, Round Table, councillors etc. When I was still working I brought groups of prefects several times to this.
