Maple leaves in their autumn splendour

I collected these leaves a few days ago and until this afternoon they have been lying between bits of kitchen roll with my heavy frying pan sitting on top in an effort to flatten the rather curled edges.

Dull and damp this morning but much milder than yesterday. Good conditions for a walk.

I had to buy a new kitchen clock this morning. Despite having a new battery the old clock was continually losing time or just stopping altogether and as I rely on that clock more than any other in the house it had to be replaced with another cheapo from Argos.
