Journies at home

Amour en cage

That's what they're called in these parts.  A caged love seems sad. But that aside....
I picked a bunch for lizzie and Bobby back in the summer, loving them as much as Pennies from Heaven which bring you riches instead of imprisonment.  But that aside....
Over the years Bobby has traced the sun's autumn descent and spring rise, dated with permanent marker on the back wall of the house.  The courtyard has begun to catch its last rays.  The grapes that haven't been eaten by the birds are beginning to drop jammy messes on the terrace, The wisteria trails around haphazardly because blackbirds nested in it in the spring and no one dared disturb them.  The wood pile is getting low.
But autumn has also made the cage fragile.
