Puddles at Grutness

A fairly calm day, misty on the east, but thankfully not at Sumburgh.  It's poured all day, finally eased this evening.

Up early, and headed down to Laura's before work.  Another late shift in the airport.  We've had a busy day.  Most scheduled flights were full, plus four charters, and then all the oil flights and helicopters.  I was on the check-in desk in the morning, and then a wet afternoon on the ramp, meeting and boarding planes.  Over 100 passengers on the three flights tonight, with a dead rabbit on the runway, which nearly ended our operations for the night, thankfully not.  Walkies with Sammy, and now feet up.

It really wasn't much of a day, rained all day long.  Thankfully I had oilskins to wear out on the ramp today, which saved me from getting soaked.  I
It ranged from light showers, to torrential rain at times.   Drookled (soaked) passengers generally aren't the happiest, but today with the October holidays almost starting, some were very cheery to sneak away early.  Puddles formed on the road at Grutness, Sumburgh.
