Essykert Traffic Jam

A lovely sunny morning, clouded over and then more sunshine.  About 4pm, and that pesky mist reared it's ugly head, and stayed.  Clear in Scalloway tonight.  Calm all day and night.

Walkies with Sammy after breakfast, and popped by Madeline's.  Popped along Laura's on my way to work, and only niece Megan home.  A busy day in the airport, actually the busiest weekend of passengers since Covid-19 broke out.  Every flight full.  I was in the heli end most of the day.  A mad evening, last two flights cancelled, and 120 passengers to sort.  They even made a stampede to the check-in desk! A late night, but finally got them all re-booked, with an extra flight on tomorrow, and all visitors in hotels tonight.  Mam, dad, big Brian and Madeline all popped by the house tonight.

After a mad day in the airport, I'm glad a had a fine relaxing morning before the chaos.  Our traffic jams are generally short, and don't usually last long here in Shetland, so being stuck behind the essykert (garbage truck) wasn't too stressful.  I was stuck behind Alan Halcrow o Ockraquoy, seen in the mirror.  Taken on the Hill of Aithsetter, Cunningsburgh.
