A mattress that has reached the end of its useful life had to go to the tip today.

It required some joint effort to get it folded in and held long enough to allow the boot to be shut.

Clearly mattresses are recycled in such numbers - or require special recycling techniques - that they have their own dedicated skip.

In any event, mission accomplished.
