A Mixed Day & WidWed results
Our day started off with a nasty shock when we heard one of my oldest friends (best man) had been quite badly injured in a road accident. Someone turned in front of his motorcycle and without time to brake he has suffered two open fractured wrists, two fractures to one femur (now pinned) and some damage to his pelvis. He is in hospital in Coventry so I might be able to go and see him at some point. Fortunately his wife has good support and I suppose broken bones can be mended.
The driver of the car is mortified and didn't leave the scene - although there is some hint of a mobile phone being in use at the time .... ye gods how difficult can this be?
After that we headed off to the village hall and helped to set up the boards for the art group's exhibition which this year includes {shock horror} an invitation for the camera club to display a few photos!
One or two art club members are quite conservative about anything not involving oil paints applied to stretched canvas with a brush, although they do now accept mixed media might just qualify as art :-)
Gill set up her own boards and then helped me to put the camera club boards into the best arrangement we could. Collaged in the main.
Kineton Village Hall 10:00 to 4:00 tomorrow CV35 0LX for anyone local to south Warwickshire. (more info below in the comments)
Wide Wednesday attracted around 60 entries and it was a difficult task to select the favourites and HMs. Fortunately, southern hemisphere blippers have gone for the changing season angle and there were some great start of Spring shots in the mix. My thanks to everyone for entering - these are just my choices and might not be what a more formal camera club judge would go for.
Looking forward to next week on the theme of: Geometric and Architectural
All of the favourites are worth going for a large on black view.
