Art Boards

Today has mostly been taken up with the village art exhibition.  Much changed from the usual format by C-19 precautions, but in many respects better according to the early feedback.  There was a steady stream of visitors from 10:00 this morning on to 17:00 with no super busy or overly quiet times. One very very keen connoisseur of art bought the most expensive piece in the exhibition (£1400!)  at around 10:05.
Most of the for sale pieces were £40 to £150 ish and there were a lot of red dots (sold markers) out by the end of the afternoon.

A small group put the boards up first thing (yesterday) and the artists then arranged their own board(s)  Each of the works had a small label so no overall catalogue, and being able to see one artist's work together was seen as a positive by most visitors.

The camera club boards were well received, Gill had a couple of sales and one of the popular vote winners.  My blip is her board (Chesterton Windmill across to the two beach scenes)  with a little of the adjoining ones.    Most of yesterday morning to put the exhibition up,  about 90 minutes to take it all down and tidy the hall!

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts re my friend and his road accident. He had ~15 hours of surgery and still needs more on one of his wrists,  but he is at least 'comfortable' .  No visiting though as he is only allowed one nominated visitor for one hour per day and only if the ward staff can cope with visiting time.  Probably for the best as open fractures carry a risk of infection and his body has enough to deal with already.
