Line whitening fairies ..

Some of the roads around here were given a spruce up overnight. I have found it difficult to adjust to the speed at which many drive here. I had got used to the 20 mph speed limit in Edinburgh. OK most ignored it but it did keep the majority driving below 30 mph. Here the 30 mph seems to be a permit to drive at 40 mph!

The sunshine did not materialise today but it was still warm below the cloud. It was a good day to do some housemove paperwork and also make two trips on foot to our new house to check on progress and put out, and bring in, the recycling bin.

We enjoyed the fun of catching up with our 8 and 6 year old grandchildren as we picked them up from a busy school Friday and helped them morph into an even busier busy weekend mode!

The Cheltenham Literature Festival began today. This is the world’s oldest festival of literature.
