Melrose

As we are about to be confined within Lothian’s borders for at least the next 16 days due to Covid 19 we took advantage of the sunshine for a trip south through the Scottish Borders to Melrose. The autumn colours were stunning. The last time we were here the town was bustling. Today it was noticeable so much quieter. So many pubs and restaurants preparing to close. We enjoyed our walk through the Abbey and Harmony gardens and a picnic lunch in Lauderdale.
