Concrete

Shropshire County Council moved into this concrete celebration of post-war modernism in the mid-sixties.  It’s just up the road from where my mum and dad live and I used to pass it everyday when I walked to college in the late-80s.  The paved area in front of the building was, and maybe still is, a favourite of skateboarders. Today, I decided to snap a picture of it as the council has recently said it want to move back into the town centre and English Heritage deiced no to list the building.  I’ve known this building for approaching 40 years. I wonder if it will still be here in another 40?
