The Diesel Engine (MM403)
Rudolph Diesel developed his ideas for a compression ignition engine in the late 1800s and brought about a big improvement in efficiency compared to the steam engine.
This one with it's turbo charger and modern control system is probably more efficient than he ever imagined, although probably not around for much longer in cars?
Edit: tagged for Climate Change as this was bought on the assumption it would be our last ICE engined car.
A mobile phone shot as I am lacking in blip-enthusiasm at the moment :-( Processed in Siver eFex, low key pre-set.
Thanks to our host for this series of Mono Monday.
