SPIKED SHIELD BUG

There were two critters I haven't spotted in the old cemetery up to now, and since the other one was a Grey Wagtail (extra), another one of which I blipped a couple of weeks ago, here's Picromerus bidens, the Spiked Shield Bug. The Wildlife Trusts website says it's "a very impressive animal with a formidable pair of sharp spines on its shoulders", but since it's only about 1.2cm long, they are probably more "fearsome" (it also says) if you're likely to be its prey. It was gleaming in a very attractive coppery way in the sunlight, which is what caught my eye.
