Sika Deer at Arne
To take full advantage of this wonderful weather, I have driven to Dorset in the van with Jorgie as co-pilot.
We left home just after 6am and we were in Arne Nature Reserve by 8.30am. My first visit to this RSPB site and it didn't disappoint.
A small herd of Sika Deer were grazing on the open marsh and didn't seem too worried by our presence. Jorgie was really good and lay down while I watched them for about an hour. One stag was keeping a careful watch on his group of females.
