Beasts of Burden

We stayed in the middle of the New Forest last night.It was cold during the night  and both Jorgie and I were grateful for the heating system in the van 
This morning as the sun came up ,the early mists soon disappeared and the temperatures rose. By lunchtime it felt in the 20's

One of the reasons for visiting this area was to try and find the 'Pannage Pigs'

We spent a couple of hours visiting the ares where they are most likely to be seen but sadly we couldn't locate them.
Instead we bumped into all the other roaming animals - ponies, cattle and deer while walking some of the tracks across the open land and in the pockets of woodland
My favourite beasts however, were these donkeys chilling beside the road.
