Japanese Coffee-pot

This is one of those items that has been on our shelves for so long that no-one can remember who gave it to us and where it came from! We suspect it was brought back from Japan by one of my uncles who had spent time in Japan in World War 2, but no-one who might be able to tell us is still around! The lid is pewter and fits perfectly!
