Beside the Pool….

The pooled area of the Taylor River looked very tranquil early this morning..We enjoyed a clear sky and spring sunshine for several hours. I visited friends Rachel and Richard at their lush property and vineyard near Rarangi. Then early in the afternoon a southerly change swept up the east coast. Dramatic dark clouds holding not a lot of rain. I suspect the southerly spent its energy dumping unseasonal snow on Central Otago overnight. The scenes on TV news looked very pretty but I felt sorry for newborn lambs.
