Golden Beauty……

We have a lot of flag irises growing in our garden. Most of the are of bronze and gold colours. It always amazes me that such beauty can miraculously pop out of such tight buds. There is some very nasty weather affecting parts of New Zealand. Huge southerly ocean swells causing chaos on the roads along Wellington’s southern coasts. All inter-islander ferries cancelled. And yet here in Blenheim we are sheltered by Cape Campbell…. Grey skies but not a breath of wind…. Amazing!
