Being In The Moment
Today started with another early morning run with my brother. We left the house a bit later today so the early fog and mist had mostly lifted and it was a beautiful autumnal morning. The sun was just coming out and highlighting the first changes in the colours of the leaves on the trees.
We headed across a field at Barming and along the path next to the railway line towards East Malling. Bearing in mind it was such a lovely morning we were really surprised to see no one else apart from a couple of solitary dog walkers. I had been puffing away like an old steam train at the start but the scenery and the fresh air soon gave me a spring in my step and the 3.5 miles of our route seemed to pass by in no time at all. Loved it!
Today's image of this sign was taken in Maidstone after our post food shop pint. It just reminded me that I need to stop worrying so much (especially about things I can't control) and to just try being more in the moment and enjoy it - like I did with this morning's run.
