Turnstone #95
We had a more relaxing day today with a lie in until 10am for hubby and then a short stop at the Wetlands again to look for the Little Stint that had been seen. No luck this time, but we did see a kingfisher and a couple more greenshanks.
After a nice lunch at the Harbour Inn we went into Sidmouth for a look around.
The seafront is quite nice despite the absence of a nice sandy beach. There are some cafés, ice cream stands, lots of gulls and a fair few turnstones knocking about on the beach. I sat on the steeply sloping pebbles and waited and they came very close as if to ask for food, a bit like the greedy herring gulls. It was really nice to see them so close up.
