Covid Challenges and Going With the Flow

This was the day to prepare our return to the US and most of the morning was taken up with the bizarre circumstance of having to take not one but two Covid tests within 2 hours. The first was the required 2 day test for arrivals into the UK, the second, the required test for returning to the US. I was hoping we could use the first for the second requirement but it will take 48 hours for them to send our results and we will probably be on our flight by then. So it meant scrambling around for a test site that could deliver rapid results in the area. Finally managed to find one and get it done. Thanks to LV for calmly driving us round to achieve this. Then shopping for the dinner I was going to make, Watercress Soup and main course Risotto all’amarone- an unusual risotto prepared mostly with Amarone wine instead of stock. In between, I was introduced to a local Turkish barber in Nettleham and had my hair cut! Now relaxing with LV and watching the England game. Sad our trip is coming to an end, but glad to have navigated the challenges.
