What a Welcome

You can probably tell l’ve been to York Gate this afternoon.
It had been a busy morning but this afternoon was much quieter.
Sat in my little summerhouse, had my complimentary flat white and a slice of Bakewell tart.
Read my book and gave myself a manicure.
Lots of visitors to talk to as they left , all impressed as usual.
Always good to talk to first time visitors who are stunned by how much is fitted into one acre.
You couldn’t help but gasp at this entrance to the garden as you enter from the car park.
The borders here have looked good all year but l thought they were spectacular today.
