Overcooked Oak

It's been a busy few work days this week, been working long days and realised I hadn't been out of the house since Sunday so went for a much needed walk in the evening.  Did that thing where I took my camera and forgot the SD card again (I really need to find out what I've done with my spares and put one in the bag), so took a few not great pictures on my phone.  This photo is a branch of one of the Cadzow oaks which I've messed around with so much in lightroom that it kind of reminds me of the covers of the old 'The Dark is Rising' novels.  I don't think I ever actually read them, but I remember the covers freaking me out as a kid.

(Have just googled the covers and realised they don't look anything like this picture, but it still occupies the same space in my brain).

Finished watching Squid Game last night to catch up with the rest of the world.  I now understand all the memes.  Also happy that the Ten Very Big Books crew are back and on with Reaper's Gale, it's going to be a good season.
