Sowing broad beans
I love sowing big seeds. Broad beans definitely fit that category.
There's no need to start broad beans in the greenhouse because they're pretty tough and don't mind cold weather. However the deers on the allotment love munching on the young shoots so I've already put up deer fencing and will only plant them out when they're quite big.
These really shouldn't take long to germinate - maybe a week or so as the temperatures are still so mild.
