Day 10 Level 3 Lockdown Step 1

It was another lovely day today, so we ventured out for a walk.

The sun was shining, the sky and water were blue and the beach at Kohimarama was virtually empty. The photo for today’s blip is of Kohimarama Beach before the crowds arrived.

The extra is of our two bowls of porridge, which was cooked with chopped apricots, topped with toasted, chopped nuts, a dollop each of stewed rhubarb and home-made yoghurt and a sprinkle of hemp seeds. Probably total sacrilege to the lovely folk from Scotland! The butter dish in the background was given to us by friends from Hungary. The bowls and matching plates are from Keriblue Ceramics in Kerikeri, Northland.

There were 65 new community cases today, all in Auckland. There is a huge push tomorrow, Saturday, to get as many people as possible vaccinated with their first jab.
