The moon is an egg!

I replaced the main photo and put the coots in the extras as I might not get another half decent moon shot this month! Sorry. Eggs and coots, same sort of subject!

I did not expect to see so much fighting and hear such a ruckus along the Grand Canal this morning. There were hundreds of coots gathered together where the canal enters Lake Geneva and the behaviour was appalling! I looked up their behaviour, on Wikipedia of course, and discovered that adult coots basically kill their weak offspring when they are young, so I don’t know if these violent quarrels had anything to do with that. These were clearly adults.

Thanks for the sympathy for the prang yesterday, the car should be able to be repaired on the 25th.
