aging-schmaging
when I was little I wanted to live 'til I was 100. But then, as I got older, I saw that old age was no walk in the park and changed my mind. I changed my mind again when I realised that one can be pro-active in preventing many of the bad things about old age from even happening. So it was with interest that Flea and I watched a TEDx talk from Charles Eugster today. Little did we know that, as we were watching it, ma in law was heading for hospital in an ambulance. She suffered a double pulmonary embolism after lunch today and is now stable but in intensive care. None of us know which way things are going to go in the next few days but, we're all in agreement (including her) of what the best option is. The doctors know and we're kind of preparing, in as much as one can. Whichever way it goes, it's another step in the fading out process that I was already talking about last Friday.
