Da Sun is Rising

Showers first thing, but cleared into a sunny morning, bit of cloud in the afternoon, and then showers tonight.  Calm this morning, with gales picking up throughout the day. 

Early shift in the airport, and in the check-in desk first thing.  The rest of the day was working with oil flights and helicopters.  One helicopter down, so a fairly quiet day for us.  Walkies with Sammy has been the most excitement this evening, with another early night ahead.

With summer being a distant memory, so are the light nights and light mornings too.  Sunrise today was about 7.50am, and sunset was about 5.50pm.  It's only to get darker over the next couple of months, a long winter on it's way.  This was taken at 8.21am this morning, slowly rising in the sky.  Taken on the apron, Sumburgh Airport.
