Locking Crew

We had a beautiful start to the day in Banavie, with wisps of mist clinging to the perfectly still water.  The cruise to Loch Lochy, across the loch, and then along Laggan Avenue was breathtakingly beautiful at times.  There was no wind or rain and the sun was out much of the time, creating opportunities for CyclopsJnr to both drive the boat and help with ropes during locking, which he greatly enjoyed.

At lunchtime we stopped at Laggan Locks and cycled along the path through Laggan Avenue and then along the side of Loch Oich, joining up with the ride we did from the other end of the loch a couple of days ago.

We moored up for the evening at Invergarry Castle, and we enjoyed taking a wee look at the castle (and eponymous hotel).  We had a game of Carcasonne before dinner too.
