Super Saturday

My second jab was booked 6 weeks ago when I had my first jab. The government declared a week or two ago that today would be 'Super Saturday', pulling out all the stops in the Vax-a-Nation movement to drive the vaccination rate up. Lots of events around thre country to support and encourage people to get their vaccinations, particularly first jabs. The 'hook' at my venue was a free coffee and BBQ sausage. Yum!

The 'average' number of vaccinations over the past few days has been around 50 or 60,000 so it's pretty impressive to have reached 130,002 today.........over 3% of the total eligible population vaccinated in one day.....about a 30% of them are first jabs which is great.

And more good news.....a bit of a drop in the number of new community cases today.......41. Fingers crossed it continues to track downwards over the next few weeks.
