Applemaggedon
We went to Brogdale, near Faversham, the home of the National Fruit Collection for one of their orchard open weekends. We went last year and sampled many of their heritage apples and pears. Just as good this year. We ate rather too many apples trying them out! Included in the entry price was a bag each you could fill with apples of your choice.
On the way home we called in on friends in Gillingham who had invited us for tea and scones. They’ve had their own set of immense challenges over the last several years including caring for an elderly parent. So we have much in common.
We could have stayed much later, there were so many things to talk about but time was against us as we’re going to a wedding in Chichester tomorrow. We have to leave early to guarantee getting there in time for the service at 2.00pm. Packing still to do, my hair to trim and dinner to cook tonight.
With our newly acquired freedom we’re staying down there for a few days to explore the area. We won’t know ourselves.
Thank you for all your lovely comments about Landon. His party is today. Almost all the children in San Marcos will be there by the sound of it. We shall FaceTime just to see what’s going on.
