Dogged night riders

We had an interesting ride tonight. It was snow and ice with a lot of concentration needed to keep going straight.

At the top of the ride in an out of the way area an abandoned looking car was sat. We were chatting away waiting for the other guys to catch up, with our lights pointing straight at the car. At about the same time it dawned on us that the windows were foggier than normal it started up and tried to move off but it was a rear wheel drive hatchback and just sat there spinning in the snow. We watched with interest until a hot under the collar guy clambered out and giving instructions to his female friend tried to push it but it was going nowhere. He sheepishly accepted our offers to help and off they went. You can imagine the hilarity and jokes - what embarrassing luck for them to have a bunch of overly lighted bikers turning up on a cold dark night when you'd think no one was about! On the other hand they were lucky because it took quite a push from four of us to get it going, so they would have been well stuck.
A night for dogged Samaritans!
