Carlisle

It hasn’t stopped pouring all day so we spent a few hours in Carlisle, somewhere I haven’t been for at least 25 years. The main blip is a mural next to the old town walls.
In extras, the military history room in one of the biggest second-hand bookshops I’ve had the pleasure to visit, and a display case at the Borders Regimental Museum inside the castle.
