Bleak

It would take more than a colourful lighthouse to make this view of the former John Lewis site look a bit more cheerful.

I hardly ever go to the town centre, the last time was in July. Today I had an appointment for my flu and Covid booster vaccinations. The vaccination centre is now based in the former John Lewis building. Strange to be back in the shop again when it is no longer a shop.

I was a bit early so I had a wander around the adjacent shopping precinct. It makes for a rather sad sight as so many of the shops are closed. John Lewis was probably the main draw to this area, and other shops will have benefited from the footfall.
