Day 15 Level 3 Lockdown Step 1

We went on a little adventure today.  We’re allowed to meet one other household at a time, outside, no more than ten people.  So, we arranged to meet two friends at a pop-up café at Westhaven Marina, where we bought sandwiches and coffee and then sat on a bench in the sunshine enjoying our picnic and having a lovely catch-up.  Wonderful!

It was a glorious, sunny day and as we walked through the Marina I took photos of a row of classic yachts moored in the marina, alongside two super yachts.  What a contrast!!

For an extra, there is a photo of a drystack boat park, where boats are stored up out of the water in a well-ventilated and secure building.  We’ve watched boats being lifted out of the water into this facility, and it’s such an interesting process to watch.

There were 60 new community cases today, 4 of which were in the Waikato region and 56 in Auckland.
