Hitchhiker

When we went to the pier to catch the ferry back to Cape Cod, we were told that because of the rough seas, the ferry had been diverted to Vineyard Haven and we could catch it there.  Fortunately, we had left plenty of time and the drive between the two locations was only about 15 minutes. 

It was bit of a rough ride but over in 45 minutes, after which we headed north to visit with a cousin and have a lovely French dinner in Boston.  Boston was preparing for the Marathon (postponed this year from Patriot's Day in April to Columbus Day due to Covid) so access to street parking and some locations was limited.

This crow entertained me for a few minutes just before the ferry left.  In extra is a shot from the ferry of the boats in the harbor and the lovely homes overlooking the water.
