Autumn on the Cut
Back on the boat this morning and headed down to Skipton.
Autumn is much more evident now than last time we were here 2 weeks ago. I’m not sure what this lovely red tree is - it’s not Rowan.
Once we got settled in Skipton Canal Basin we had Frank’s yummy lentil soup for lunch and then had a relaxed afternoon. Reading and knitting for me and a Pint at The Boat House for Frank and Bella.
I’ve not been eating biscuits now for 3 weeks! We don’t have any in the house but there are some in the draw on the boat - Digestives, my favourites! Once I make my mind up that’s it. Brazil nuts and dried apricots instead. After a few days I forget about the bikkies.
I just watched the COVID Update by the health secretary. I’m disappointed that yet again the government is acting too slow. Why don’t they just make mask wearing mandatory? Hardly anyone round Skipton is wearing one. It won’t be long till they have to back track when the NHS becomes overwhelmed as numbers are rising fast already.
I know so many people who have had COVID, got it, or know someone who has it.
We get our boosters on 30th Oct.
Tap dancing tonight!
Stay safe Blippers and get well those who already have it.
