Beech Leaves

We spent all morning at Monks Cross near York - first of all for coffee then winter clothes shopping (hats / gloves / thermals) at Primarni, followed by an extended tour of furniture showrooms looking for a new sofa and chairs for our lounge. We may have found one we both like…..it will of course entail a second viewing :-(

Home via Wetherby to collect an order from Screwfix and a few bits from Aldi! Witnessed an accident outside Screwfix - a motorcyclist waiting to turn right out of a junction was taken out by car turning into the road and cutting the corner…..motorcyclist cartwheeled over the top of the car. Fortunately when I got to the scene he was up - just winded - and refused an ambulance call. His bike was a bit of a mess. Car driver had stopped and they were exchanging details!! Other witnesses were also there - including a learner in a driving school car who had been following the car involved!!

Nipped out for a little walk when we got home (only two miles today) and snapped this low hanging beech branch. Sorry it is more leaves but I do like the colours :-)
