Hello, yes, still here, working on how to (a) not let the backlog increase and (b) then actively seek to reduce the huge number of gaps in the last few months. I'm sure I had a full card up to the end of May....!
No great rush to get out the house; we eventually left before 10 and opted for the east coast south as it looked marginally less rainy according to the forecast.
Newcastle for lunch in a Tesco car park; then onto Sunderland (Stadium of Light) and Peterlee for Victor Passmore's Apollo Pavilion. I've been aiming to visit since I first stumbled across its existence about 20 years ago. It's a fine thing; concrete at its finest. (I'll try and pop up an extra)
Then onwards to the transporter bridge in the Boro (didn' realise it was closed!) and a look at the club shop at the Riverside.
Then battered on to Sheffield; checked in and chilled for an hour befire we went out; ate and onto Bramall Lane for my first visit there since 1987.
Millwall were the visitors and an entertaining game was settled in the 92nd minute with a peach which left the visiting fans in raptures.
Home (via an offie to grab a cold beer) and a deep sleep
