Off to fetch our wheels for the next few days; and then spent the rest of the morning arranging paraphenalia for the coming days.
We rocked up at Her's at midday and set off westwards towards the grey clouds and the murk.
A quick tea to see what the rain was doing at the Smiddy before rolling out the last few miles to the Lake of Menteith.
Tom was straight out of the blocks and in for a swim; then once the board was up, She headed out onto the silvery sheen. Alex and I were on fire raising duties.
A pleasant afternoon of the water borne ones popping in and out, swapping swimming for paddling at regular intervals, with an occasional sit by the fire to warm the extremities. (Although - it was warm)
We even managed a few sausages on sticks before striking camp as the rain returned and off homeward via the supermarket; home to pack for part 2.
