A Walk up the Canal…
…rather than down. In other words north of Skipton.
We came back to our mooring at lunch time and after a cold, damp morning, the afternoon turned into a lovely sunny day.
I popped into Tesco’s and Morrison’s on the way to the mooring and noticed quite a few shoppers wearing masks. I bought 2 trays of pansies which will flower from now till next year and longer if I dead head them regularly.
I just watched a heartening report on our regional news. A little girl in Sheffield started collecting clothes and money for refugees and got her school involved. It showed all the kids in her school sorting and folding the garments with great care. Enough money was donated to buy brand new clothes too. The children were interviewed and were so passionate about helping those children less fortunate than themselves. Such awareness and compassion was wonderful to see in children.
It’s Blipfoto’s 17th Birthday - Happy Birthday Blipfoto! I only joined 3-4 years ago but it’s one of the best things I ever did. It makes me much more aware of things around me and I learn so much from other Blippers. Distance friendships have been formed and we have met some Blippers too and some of course I already knew personally from Dumfries.
Time for some knitting now.
Goodnight Blippers! ;-)X
