Autumnal Regency Cheltenham

The heavy rain blew through overnight. By the time the sun rose it was a clear cool sunny autumn day.

My blip today is quintessential Regency Cheltenham albeit with an autumnal hue.

Today the carpet fitter arrived on time and spent the day removing all the old carpets and putting down the new underlay. Tomorrow he returns to lay the new carpets throughout the house.

We had a picnic lunch in the house today. It’s our first meal in our new home. We are enjoying this phased introduction to our new surroundings and should be well positioned when our furniture comes south the weekend after next.

I collected two very happy grandchildren from school this afternoon. One had won a prestigious certificate and the other turns nine tomorrow. Perfectly timed birthday for the half term holiday.
