It's almost the end of October but my heritage tomatoes are not ready to give up. Infact since the start of September they have been firing on all cylinders.

A call to the police today as our neighbour had water coming out of the walls from his bathroom. He is a recluse and causes us all concern. Since boxing day he has been sleeping in a bedroom with the window glass out. He refuses to get it fixed, despite a council statutory notice. I wish the council would assess him properly, the man can't look after himself and won't allow neighbours to help.

Today the police rang the bell, hammered on the door and shouted through the letterbox. An hour later they had permission to ram the door in. They opened the main door then took another 30 minutes to open the internal door. The man was sitting in his lounge listening to it all..... surely now some body needs to assess him properly. The leaking toilet overflow was stopped, but of course started again once he had used the loo.

In other news I cleaned out the drinks cabinet and have identified a few bottles which just need finished - wee goldies, cheers!
