Cheeky
A flock of 20 or more Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos invaded the banksia trees opposite our rental cottage in Red Rock early this morning. They were chewing off the woody fruiting cones of the banksias and extracting the seeds. In some cases they flew off with the cones to do the extraction elsewhere. Their yellow tail is really only seen when they fly - see the extra. Their call is a piercing screech, mainly when flying, as heard in this YouTube clip.
