Lachlan Castle

Another cracking day in the west. We headed back to Inver Cottage for lunch, only to discover they were out of gas so could only offer a limited menu. But when you've got kids who've only got a limited menu anyway, this was not a problem!

We discovered that Inver Cottage is run by the McAlindens and husband Joe was a familiar name - I had bought one of his albums back in the '90s. So when his wife kindly proferred his latest creation, I could not refuse.

After lunch, we wandered across the glen to the ruins of Lachlan Castle overlooking Loch Fyne. It was a beautiful location in fantastic weather. We took the long road back, via Tighnabruaich. There were some lovely views over the Kyles of Bute and Arran. The mountains looked more akin to the Alps with the dump of snow they'd had.

I've added a new category to my Blipfolio because some of these views need to be seen...
