Grey Heron

I went up to the loch quite early. There was no sign of the young one, it was quite breezy so she wasn't on her tree. As I got closer, I saw her flying down the loch. She landed and had nearly all her fish (I gave a tiny bit to a moorhen who was obviously looking for some). She seemed to be quite hungry again so I have given her 3 fillets rather than 2.
This shot really shows how she has changed, the black stripe at her eye is nearly there and her face is a definite white rather than grey. Her upper beak is also getting more brown than black. She has also got quite defined black shoulder patches.
